These terms govern your use of Follo, an invoice-chasing tool operated from New Zealand. By creating a Follo account, you agree to them.

1. What Follo does

Follo connects to your Xero or Stripe account, reads the sales invoices in it, keeps track of which are outstanding, and sends payment reminder emails to your clients on your behalf, under your business's name. Follo is a reminder tool, not a debt collection agency, and does not process payments, hold client funds, or guarantee that any invoice will be paid.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Follo is intended for business use by freelancers and small agencies, not for personal, non-business invoicing.

3. Connected accounts

When you connect Xero or Stripe, you authorize Follo to read your invoice data: client name and email, invoice number, dates, amount, currency and whether it has been paid. Xero access is read-only. Stripe does not offer a read-only option to apps like Follo, so the permission Stripe shows you is wider than what Follo uses. Follo only reads invoices and does not create invoices, take payments or move money. You can disconnect at any time. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to share your clients' contact details with Follo for this purpose, and for the accuracy of the invoice data in your connected accounts.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Follo to:

  • send reminders for invoices that aren't genuine or aren't owed;
  • harass, threaten, or mislead your clients;
  • send unlawful, abusive, or unsolicited content of any kind; or
  • try to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to Follo.

5. Fees

Follo is currently free to use while we're in early access. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell existing users in advance, and continuing to use Follo after a price change takes effect means you accept the new price.

6. Third-party services

Follo relies on third-party services, including Xero, Stripe, Resend, Supabase and Vercel, to operate. We're not responsible for outages, errors, or changes on their end that affect Follo, though we'll do our best to keep things running and let you know about any impact.

7. No warranty

Follo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that reminders will always be delivered, that any invoice will actually get paid, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Follo isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost revenue from an invoice that wasn't paid.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using Follo and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let existing users know by email.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
